The Evergreens

At the Evergreens you can enjoy the true spirit of camping without the hassles of towing a trailer or pitching a tent.  We have 5 comfortable appointed sparkling clean cabins located just a few yards from the shore of the Kennebec River.  Cabins are tucked under tall pine and oak trees, and are spaced for privacy.  Each cabin is fully furnished with single beds, carpeting, electricity, bathrooms with hot and cold running water, shower, sink and toilet.  All bed linens and towels are provided for your convenience.  Cabins are constructed with covered porches overlooking the River.  A fire ring and a picnic table are right outside your door; firewood and ice are available at a reasonable cost.  Guests are encouraged to enjoy the full camping experience by cooking outdoors on the fire ring or by bringing a charcoal grill with them.  (Cabins do not provide indoor cooking or refrigeration.)  Food can be purchased at several stores in Solon.  If you don't wish to cook... The Evergreens Restaurant is open Friday & Saturday evenings and Saturday & Sunday mornings.  Additional restaurant hours may be arranged if requested prior to your arrival.  Our cozy downstairs bar is usually open Friday & Saturday evenings after the restaurant closes.  Guests over the age of 21 can shoot some pool, throw a few darts, or just get to know each other over a favorite beverage.

The Evergreens is a year-round facility.  During colder months (usually November thru April), our cabin guests appreciate the combination of good insulation and efficient L.P. gas heat.  (Just the ticket after a fabulous day of snowmobiling!!)

Please not that heat is not available after mid-May so bring appropriate clothing.

Singles, Couples, small groups, large groups -- all can be accommodated at The Evergreens.  Our small cabins sleep up to 5 comfortable and our 2 large, two-story cabins sleep up to 11 each.
